Job summary

Mathis Mattress Manufacturing in Oklahoma City is seeking a dedicated Quality Control team member for a full-time, non-safety sensitive position.

You will inspect products for defects, organize pallets, and assist with production line duties in a climate-controlled warehouse. Candidates must be able to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and communicate effectively with teammates in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift merchandise up to 50 lbs occasionally and communicate effectively with team members.
• Forklift experience is a plus in a fast-paced production environment.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and general employment standards.

Responsibilities

• Inspecting products for defects and ensuring quality control.
• Organize finished mattresses and box springs onto pallets by size and destination.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area and assist on the production line as needed.

Description

EXAMPLES OF WORKED PERFORMED:

• Knowledge of merchandise.
• Organize and carry finished and wrapped mattresses and box springs to pallets according to size, store, and stops.
• Inspecting products for defects and keep area clean and organized.

EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS: Ability to lift merchandise of 50 lbs occasionally; ability to communicate effectively with team members; Forklift experience is a plus; fast paced, production line work environment; knowledge of employment and safety procedures.

PHYSICAL ACTIVITY REQUIREMENTS: To successfully perform the essential functions of the job, an employee must be able to perform the following: Stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, climbing, crawling, walking, pulling, lifting, talking, hearing/listening and repetitive motion.

Heavy Work: Lifting to 50 lbs. occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs. constantly to move objects.

Work Environment: Works in an indoor, climate-controlled environment.
