Job summary

Ellaway Blues Consulting is seeking an experienced Quality Control Manager to lead quality operations across a diverse manufacturing environment. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality or a related technical discipline.
• Proven leadership experience in a quality management or quality control role within manufacturing.
• Experience with new-make manufacturing and complex mechanical assemblies.
• Experience with gas turbines or heavy industrial equipment would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the Quality Control team to foster accountability, continuous improvement and operational excellence.
• Oversee quality operations across new-make manufacturing, fabrication and equipment assembly.
• Establish, implement and continuously improve quality control processes, procedures and inspection standards.
• Partner with Manufacturing, Engineering and Operations leadership to identify quality concerns, resolve production challenges and improve overall product quality.
• Manage nonconformance investigations, root cause analysis and corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Drive improvements in first-pass yield, scrap reduction, rework, inspection efficiency and overall manufacturing quality.
• Oversee quality activities throughout the manufacturing lifecycle, from incoming materials and component inspection through final assembly and product acceptance.
• Support quality requirements for complex mechanical equipment and integrated industrial packages.
• Develop and monitor quality performance metrics, identifying opportunities to strengthen processes and improve operational performance.
• Ensure compliance with applicable industry standards, customer specifications and internal quality requirements.
• Build effective relationships across departments, ensuring quality is embedded throughout the manufacturing process without compromising operational efficiency.
