Job summary

MPI is seeking a Quality Control Manager to oversee QA on DoD and government construction projects for a respected federal and commercial general contractor. You will lead QC activities, coordinate with project teams and government representatives, and ensure compliance with contract requirements.

Requirements include a current USACE CQC certification, 3–5 years as QC Manager, and prior DoD project experience. A federal background check is required; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current USACE CQC Certification required.
• 3–5 years as QC Manager or equivalent.
• Experience as CQC Inspector/Manager on DoD projects.
• Strong knowledge of federal construction standards & QC procedures.
• Experience managing documentation, submittals, RFIs, and QC records.
• Ability to conduct inspections and maintain compliance on secure government facilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination skills.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with contract requirements, quality standards, and owner expectations.
• Develop and implement project-specific Quality Control plans.
• Manage QC processes across multiple trades and activities.
• Prepare material submittals for architect/engineer and government review.
• Produce detailed daily reports using electronic systems.
• Conduct daily field inspections and verify materials.
• Review and approve design deliverables before government submission.
• Maintain RFIs, submittal logs, maintenance logs, and project docs.
• Develop QC punch lists and coordinate completion with subs.
• Lead preparatory meetings and quality-focused project discussions.
• Collaborate with superintendents, clients, and subcontractors to support delivery.
• Support additional quality initiatives as assigned.
