Job summary

Moog Inc. in Buffalo, NY is seeking a Quality Control Manager to lead the QC team at our West Falls location, ensuring products meet regulatory and customer requirements.

You will report to the Commercial Aircraft OE Quality Director and drive a right-first-time quality culture. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field and 7+ years in AS9100 manufacturing, with proven leadership, analytical, and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Technology, or a similar discipline.
• 7+ years of quality experience in an AS9100 (or similar) regulated manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated leadership experience, preferably including cross-functional collaboration.
• Strategic thinking with ability to develop and execute innovative plans.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Strong knowledge of inspection equipment and GD&T interpretation.
• Familiarity with APQP, FMEA, PPAP, MSA and SPC, preferred.
• Experience with Lean, Six Sigma or other continuous improvement methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the QC team, establishing priorities aligned with business needs.
• Drive a culture of quality and adherence to the quality management system.
• Develop, maintain and enforce QC procedures, inspection plans and sampling.
• Manage First Article Inspection (AS9102) processes and documentation.
• Ensure calibration/measurement system control (MSA) and oversee inspection equipment.
• Monitor, report and govern key quality metrics; drive improvement projects.
• Lead root cause analyses and verify effectiveness of corrective actions.
• Coordinate customer/regulatory audits and AS9100 compliance.
