Chemring Energetic Devices in Downers Grove, IL seeks a Manager, Quality Control Manager to lead QA/Inspection. Drive adherence to QMS, improve processes, and ensure on-time delivery while developing staff.

The role requires strong GD&T expertise and a background in aerospace/defense manufacturing. The position offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits, including ongoing training, and a 9/80 work schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive Quality Control/Inspection experience in manufacturing; aerospace/defense preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience.
• Eligible to possess explosive under the Safe Explosives Act for all employees.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day Quality Assurance Inspection operations and ensure accuracy and safety.
• Plan and schedule work to meet manufacturing and delivery needs.
• Ensure compliance with the Quality Management System (QMS).
• Lead inspections, audits and corrective actions to improve performance.
• Develop staff through training and performance feedback.
