Base pay range
$110,000.00/yr - $128,000.00/yr
Candidate Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering, Architecture or Construction Management or related field
- Minimum 7 years’ experience in a Quality Control role
- Ability and willingness to work outside normal hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Team player, effective communicator, solution-oriented
- Commercial experience with MEP systems in large construction projects
Pluses
- Master’s degree in architecture, construction management, engineering, or related field
- Experience or knowledge of Net Zero Energy and LEED Gold and Platinum projects
- Experience in educational settings is a plus
- PE or Architecture licensure preferred
Day to Day Responsibilities
- Maintain knowledge of all applicable quality control standards, including ISO 9000, OSHA, USACE EM 385-1-1, and other relevant standards
- Understand and manage contract requirements related to quality and safety
- Coordinate with Owner, Architect, Engineering, Third Party Testing, Commissioning, AHJ, and Contractor teams to ensure compliance
- Prepare reports using client reporting tools, including customized checklists and inspection forms during site visits
- Develop and refine the client’s Quality Management Plan (QMP) to meet project needs
- Conduct Root Cause Analyses for project issues affecting performance or quality
- Identify barriers to compliance and facilitate resolutions
- Evaluate measures for effectiveness and ensure data collection and analysis
- Participate in management and technical reviews, addressing quality and design-construction concerns
- Lead or participate in QC meetings, tracking issues and supporting process improvements
- Understand QA principles, including setting goals, auditing, assessing compliance, and risk evaluation
- Establish standardized practices within the Quality Control Program
- Review and approve QC plans submitted by contractors or design-build teams
- Conduct site audits and verify testing and inspection processes
- Track corrective actions and perform trend analyses to identify issues
- Maintain communication with project stakeholders regarding task status
- Effectively communicate field observations through detailed reports and recommend solutions
- Supervisory responsibilities are required for this role
