Position Title: Quality Control Manager

An established federal construction contractor is seeking an experienced Quality Control Manager to oversee quality assurance and control for a newly awarded $220M+ Bomber Agile Common Hangar project at Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma City. This role is responsible for maintaining construction quality standards, monitoring subcontractor performance, conducting field inspections, and ensuring work meets project specifications and federal construction requirements. Working closely with the Project Manager, project engineers, and onsite construction teams, the Quality Control Manager will play a critical role in delivering a complex, ground-up steel and concrete construction project.

The ideal candidate is a seasoned construction professional with extensive quality control experience on comparable federal or large-scale commercial projects, a strong understanding of EM385 requirements, and a hands‑on leadership style that keeps them actively engaged in the field.

Salary Range: $125,000 - $200,000 / Year, DOE

Responsibilities

• Oversee quality control activities for a $220M+ federal construction project, ensuring compliance with contract specifications, construction standards, and applicable requirements
• Conduct regular field inspections to monitor workmanship, verify construction progress, and ensure subcontractors are performing work according to approved plans
• Manage quality control across major construction phases, including site grading, structural steel, concrete and subsequent building construction
• Collaborate with the Project Manager, project engineers, subcontractors, and field personnel to identify quality concerns and implement corrective actions
• Maintain required quality control documentation, inspection records, and reporting with support from onsite project engineers
• Monitor subcontractor performance and coordinate with construction teams to maintain quality standards throughout project execution
• Remain actively involved in daily field operations, proactively addressing quality issues and supporting successful project delivery

Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years of combined qualifying experience in construction management, including Superintendent, Quality Control Manager, Project Manager, Project Engineer, or Construction Manager roles on projects of similar size or type
• At least 4 years of quality control experience within the required construction background
• Demonstrated experience with large‑scale, ground‑up steel and concrete construction projects, including major trades and construction activities beginning with site grading
• Strong understanding of EM385 requirements and quality control practices applicable to federal construction projects
• Proven ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract requirements while maintaining quality standards across multiple phases of construction
• Comfortable working onsite at Tinker Air Force Base, spending the majority of the workday in the field and meeting project-driven scheduling expectations
• Ability to meet applicable work authorization, employment verification, and military installation access requirements
