Sheakley is seeking an experienced Quality Control Manager to provide full‑time, on‑site quality oversight for a mechanical construction project at the Indianapolis VA Medical Center.
The project involves the replacement of sanitary and vent piping, including associated welding and hot work activities. The Quality Control Manager will be responsible for verifying that installations meet contract specifications, approved drawings, applicable codes, inspection requirements, and established quality standards.
This is a hands‑on field position requiring daily interaction with project leadership, subcontractors, craft personnel, inspectors, and other project stakeholders. The selected candidate must be comfortable identifying deficiencies, documenting findings, and ensuring corrective actions are completed before work progresses.
The ideal candidate is a detail‑oriented, field‑focused Quality Control Manager who can balance technical compliance with project progress.
You should be comfortable working directly with field crews, reviewing installation practices, interpreting drawings and specifications, and addressing non‑compliant work professionally and decisively. Success in this role requires strong judgment, accurate documentation, and consistent follow‑through.
Candidates with relevant mechanical construction and federal project experience are strongly encouraged to apply.
