Highland Consulting Group is recruiting for a Quality Control Manager - Mechanical for a Baltimore, MD area project. The role focuses on QC for piping, plumbing and HVAC systems with on-site leadership and collaboration with owners, GCs, and subs.

The candidate will manage QC programs, prepare daily reports, and travel to sites as needed, bringing a track record of improving inspection and billing processes on mechanical projects valued above $1 million.

Qualifications

• Solid, proven and verifiable record of career stability and quality control success
• Mechanical, Plumbing, HVAC experience
• Prepare daily Quality Control reports
• Must be an idea person with a passion to improve the process
• Ability to establish timelines
• Interface with Owner, General Contractor, and Subcontractors on all projects assigned
• Solid communication skills - both verbal and written
• Ability to multi-task
• Ability to lead productive, multi-discipline meetings
• Experience: 3 years' experience with Mechanical (Piping, Plumbing & HVAC) projects over $1 Million in value

Responsibilities

• Work with the owner and general contractor on quality control issues.
• Work to improve the billing and inspection process.
• Manage Quality Control program for specific Piping, Plumbing & HVAC projects.
• Perform routine inspections to ensure that the project specifications are met by the crew and subcontractors.
• Prepare daily progress & status reports.
• Work with Inspectors to do Quality Control walk through
• Work with the Project Manager to reduce any open items on punch list
• Travel to projects as needed.
• Be on-site to implement the QC plans.
