The ideal candidate has extensive federal contracting and healthcare project experience, CQCM certification, and proficiency with MS Office, Adobe, and Bluebeam.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years’ experience with a federal general contracting company.
  • CQCM certified and has administered the three phases of quality control on multiple projects.
  • Thorough understanding of construction materials, means, methods, and building systems.
  • Experience in federal sector projects.
  • Experience in healthcare projects.
  • Ability to utilize Microsoft Office, Adobe, and Bluebeam.
  • Ability to write and comprehend RFIs.
  • Ability to clearly communicate to home office, owner, and subcontractors.
  • Availability to work on any shift (1st, 2nd, or 3rd) as hospital construction occurs at all hours.
  • Experience in Davis‑Bacon Prevailing wage‑required projects.
  • Ability to pass a background investigation and a drug test.
  • Desire to stay and grow with a company dedicated to real team support through mentorships, accountability, and grit.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the construction sections of the project quality control plan (including the three phases of quality control) in compliance with Federal, DoD, and Navy requirements.
  • Direct and approve correction of any non‑conforming or unsafe construction work performed under the contract.
  • Monitor and approve the quality of materials, plans, surveys, fabrication, as‑built drawings, and other construction‑related work to ensure compliance with specifications, workmanship standards, and contract requirements.
  • Review project plans for quality requirements.
  • Plan and organize quality processes such as work planning, pre‑activity meetings, material management, incident reports and corrective actions.
  • Direct inspections, testing and documentation.
  • Have working knowledge of owner contract, subcontracts, and purchase orders.
  • Maintain relationships with owners, clients, and subcontractors.
  • Maintain appropriate documentation throughout the project including change order logs, RFI logs, and submittal logs.
  • Ensure timely and safe completion of projects in accordance with safety goals, while adhering to contract documents and project budgets.

Job Summary

The Quality Control Manager (QCM) is responsible for implementing and maintaining the quality control plan and overall quality control for the project. The QCM will ensure each construction project meets the meticulous standards of excellence that Richard Group embodies. The QCM is required to report to a project site five days a week and should live within proximity of the project location or surrounding areas. Projects typically range from 1–3 years. The ideal candidate will have flexibility and interest in being assigned to other project locations throughout the United States after an initial assignment.
