GMHILL is seeking a Quality Control Manager with at least 5 years of federal construction QC experience, especially on JOC/BOS/OM projects, for a Fort Stewart, GA assignment. The role requires on-site leadership, coordination with inspectors, and strict adherence to the QC Plan.

Ideal candidates will have OSHA 30, USACE CQM-C certification, and hands-on experience with Procore and RMS systems to manage daily logs and closeout documentation.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years’ federal construction QC experience (JOC/BOS/OM).
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • OSHA 30 certificate and USACE CQM-C certification.
  • Experience with Procore and RMS systems for QC tracking.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a presence on site to enforce the QC Plan.
  • Certify all submittals are in compliance with contract requirements.
  • Supervise Special Inspectors and fabricators per contract documents and IBC.
  • Maintain the GMHILL Daily Log Template and use RMS/Procore for daily logs.
  • Support project closeout documentation and quality records.

Job description

We are looking for a Quality Control Manager with at least 5 years of experience delivering safe and quality projects for newly awarded JOC Contract at Fort Stewart, GA.
Position Summary

The Quality Control Manager is responsible for providing, implementing and administering a quality control and assurance program to ensure that all work is performed in accordance with project plans and specifications as well as the standards and methods specified in the project Quality Control Plan.

Key Tasks

The following is a general list of tasks falling into the areas of responsibility of the Quality Control Manager. It attempts to present a comprehensive, but not complete, listing of potential assignments that may be undertaken.

  • QCM will maintain a presence at the site to implement and enforce the QC Plan;
  • certifies all submittals are in compliance with the requirements.
  • Has complete authority and responsibilityin all task order quality control matters.
  • Available in person, via telephone, or online as set forth in the contract
  • will be involved in the job from the project kick-off through the closeout and final documentation.
  • Supervises all Special Inspectors required by the contract documents and the IBC.
  • Verify the qualifications of all the Special Inspectors. Verify the qualifications of fabricators.
  • Maintain a rework items list that includes discrepancies noted on the Special Inspectors daily report.
  • Ensures GMHILL Daily Log Template is used.
  • Subscribes to Procore / RMS to track Daily Log Completeness reported online.
Education and Training Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a federal construction Quality Control role managing 5 projects at a time under JOC/BOS/O&M projects
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Demonstrated record of project safety and success on work valued from $500K to $10M+.
  • OSHA 30 certificate
  • USACE Certified Quality Manager(CQM-C)certification
Skill and Competency Requirements:
  • Experience in Procore and Resident Management System (RMS Contractor Mode and/or RMS Quality Control System, QCS)
  • Must be able to prioritize, assign, and oversee work on multiple concurrent work.
  • Must pass background check, drug screen and federal security clearance processes.
  • Performance of the required job duties will be in an office environment and project sites that are under construction which may include various weather conditions
  • The physical demands described below are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job:
  • The ability to walk terrain and surfaces that may be far, uneven, or temporary
  • The ability to regularly sit, stand, walk, talk and hear
  • The ability to frequently use hands to finger, handle or feel
  • The ability to occasionally climb, balance, stoop, kneel, squat, or reach
  • The ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
