Job summary

Atkore in Harvey, IL is seeking a Quality Control Manager to oversee the Quality department for the plant's manufacturing and shipping operations. You will lead customer-driven quality improvements and support plant-level process enhancements.

The role requires a Bachelor's in engineering or science, 5-7 years of quality management experience in manufacturing, and strong experience with ISO 9001:2015, Six Sigma/Lean, and data-driven problem solving. Direct reports include engineers and analysts.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in engineering, science, or equivalent.
• 5-7 years of quality management experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Manufacturing experience and quality experience are required.
• Preferred CQE/CQA credentials and ISO familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day activities of the Quality department for the Harvey plants manufacturing and shipping operations.
• Develop and lead the Quality department to meet customer-driven quality improvements.
• Perform and document root cause investigations for customer complaints.
• Perform and document root cause investigations related to product and component rejections.
• Improve customer satisfaction by reducing or preventing customer complaints.
• Coordinate with the Value Stream Manager to train on quality standards and related topics.
