Job summary

Atkore International seeks a Quality Control Manager for the Harvey, Illinois plant. You will manage the daily Quality Department operations, drive process improvements, and lead root cause investigations to resolve customer complaints and product rejections.

The role requires a BS in engineering or science and 5-7 years of quality management experience in manufacturing, with CQE/CQA credentials preferred and strong ISO 9001:2015 knowledge. On-site role with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science or equivalent with 5-7 years quality management in a manufacturing environment.
• CQE or CQA certification strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of metrology, inspection methods, GD&T, and steel/tube-making processes.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day activities of the Quality department for the Harvey plant Manufacturing and Shipping operations and support plant-level process improvement activities.
• Develop and lead the Quality department to meet customer-driven quality improvements.
• Perform and document root cause investigations for customer complaints and for product and component rejections.
• Improve customer satisfaction by reducing or preventing customer complaints.
• Coordinate training on quality standards, measurement devices, and quality alerts.
