Job summary

PIM Brands, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Manager, Quality Control at our Somerset, New Jersey facility. You will oversee the QA program, ensure compliance with SQF, HACCP, and customer standards, and guide a team to maintain product quality from ingredients to finished goods.

You will partner with production, R&D, and process engineering to implement corrective actions, train staff in GMP and food safety, and drive continuous improvement in quality metrics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field strongly preferred; master’s degree preferred.
• Quality Control experience in a 24/7 food manufacturing or pharmaceutical environment required.
• HACCP and SQF certification preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required; bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications required.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Experience with statistical process control and quality management systems required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the quality control function to ensure product quality per specifications.
• Audit and maintain SQF, Food Safety and Quality Programs and related documentation.
• Collaborate with production to ensure the Quality System is functioning properly.
• Review CAPA programs for effectiveness and prevent recurrence of non-conformances.
• Provide training and coaching on GMP, HACCP, and quality systems to staff.
• Oversee incoming inspection, hold management, and disposition of nonconforming materials.
• Generate reports and analyze data to support quality performance.
