Job summary

Nucor Buildings Group Texas is seeking a Quality Coordinator to oversee the quality claims process, support audits, and drive continuous improvement across the division. You will work with vendors and internal lines to maintain quality standards and safety.

The role requires knowledge of fabrication drawings and weld standards, plus the ability to obtain a CWI within 2 years. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of fabrication reports, assembly drawings, and part drawings.
• Knowledge of fit-up and weld standards per IAS AC472.
• Experience working in a fabrication facility.
• Ability to achieve CWI within 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the quality claims process for materials from vendors that do not meet quality requirements.
• Coordinate audits with internal teams and third parties to ensure timely, compliant findings reporting.
• Track QSRs by line and ensure correct bonus assignment.
• Keep calibrations up to date and properly recorded.
• Maintain weld procedures and certifications.
• Support internal quality checks and train staff to correct deficiencies.
• Manage and improve the division Quality Control Program to sustain high quality performance.
• Pursue continuous improvement with emphasis on safety, quality, cost, and productivity.
