Job summary

Nucor is seeking a Quality Supervisor to lead the implementation, maintenance, and continual improvement of quality and customer-related certifications. You will work cross-functionally with Sales and Operations to address customer requirements and drive quality improvements across the facility.

Applicants should be able to qualify welding procedures, conduct internal audits to AISC/AMPP QP3, and read blueprints. Safety is emphasized as a core value in daily operations.

Basic Job Functions:

Quality Supervisor will be responsible for, but not limited to the implementation, maintenance, and continual improvement of all quality and customer-related certifications. Work cross-functionally with Sales and Operations to address customer specific requirements and product needs. Work to drive quality improvement throughout the facility as well as coordinate and conduct audits and applicable training. Lead process groups and work with all levels of the organization.

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Be able to qualify welding procedure specifications
• Be able to perform internal audits and ensure compliance to AISC and AMPP QP3 standards
• Maintain calibration for measuring/inspection equipment
• Competence in reading and understanding blueprints and job/project specifications.
• CWI (Certified Welding Inspector)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Manufacturing industry experience
• Previous Supervisory Experience
