Job summary

Nucor Promotions Texas is seeking a quality-focused inspector to read and interpret shop drawings, support QA processes, and lead continuous improvement initiatives on the continental night shift. You will ensure weld integrity, monitor IQR, and uphold safety standards across the division.

This role requires a High School Diploma or GED and a current CWI or the ability to obtain one within 12 months, with preferred experience in metal-building inspections and fabrication environments.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret shop drawings and assembly drawings.
• Understand IQR process and facilitate it.
• Perform internal quality checks and spot audits.
• Commitment to safety, quality, cost, and productivity.
• Possess or obtain CWI certification within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret shop drawings and reports.
• Inspect welds visually and identify acceptable vs. unacceptable conditions.
• Support and improve the division Quality Control Program.
• Commit to continuous improvement with emphasis on safety and productivity.
• Be available for continental night shift 6p–6a and other shifts as needed.
