Actalent is hiring a Quality Control Laboratory Technician to perform routine analytical testing of raw materials, in-process, and final products to ensure quality standards are met in our Pasadena, TX facility.
You will operate GC and other instrumentation, maintain equipment, and document results for traceability, with emphasis on accuracy and safety in a wet-chemistry environment.
We are seeking a dedicated Quality Control Laboratory Technician to conduct laboratory tests and analyses to ensure raw materials, in-process, and final products meet quality standards. This role involves a wide range of duties related to maintaining high-quality production and safety standards.
Ensure compliance with all plant rules, maintenance, and safety regulations, reporting non-compliance immediately.
Perform routine analytical testing using standardized procedures, calibrated instruments, and quality reagents.
Clean and maintain instrumentation, glassware, and equipment to ensure cleanliness and test result reproducibility.
Communicate effectively with internal and external team members.
Interpret data for batch acceptance and provide feedback to Operations.
Utilize statistical tools to analyze data, make acceptance decisions, and suggest process improvements.
Maintain data logs and records for quality documentation and traceability.
Write reports to convert raw data into discernible results to support quality test result release.
Troubleshoot, clean, and maintain instrumentation, glassware, and equipment.
Participate in reviewing, investigating, and documenting the disposition of non-conforming products and internal production issues.
Proficiency in chemical analysis and quality control techniques.
Experience with wet chemistry, Gas Chromatography (GC), and chromatography.
Familiarity with GMP/GLP documentation and SOP knowledge.
1-3 years of experience in a laboratory setting, with specific experience in Gas Chromatography.
Bachelor's degree in Chemistry (preferred) or Associate of Science degree in Chemical Technology.
Experience with LIMS System is a plus.
ISO certification facility knowledge.
Experience in chemical manufacturing or research is considered.
The position is based in a lab setting within a new plant located in Pasadena, TX. The role involves working in an environment where cleanliness can be challenging due to the nature of chemical products.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pasadena, TX.
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
