Job summary

Actalent in Whittier, CA is seeking a Quality Assurance Laboratory Technician to provide technical and administrative support to the QA team, assisting with verification programs, document control, records management, and quality initiatives across laboratories.

The role focuses on thermometer verification, calibration, balance verification, data entry, SOP support, and maintaining electronic records in an onsite contract position in Whittier, CA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a Scientific Discipline, preferably Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, Environmental Sciences
• Experience with balances and laboratory scales
• Experience using laboratory thermometers and basic lab instrumentation
• Familiarity with calibration or verification activities
• Experience with Microsoft Suite
• Valid CA Driver's License

Responsibilities

• Enter and review information in laboratory databases and spreadsheets
• Organize QA supply standards and quality control check samples
• Dispose of expired QC materials under staff supervision
• Prepare forms, labels, logs, and program documentation
• Support SOP management and revision processes
• Assist with converting controlled documents into PDF format and maintaining records within electronic document systems
• Support routine QA and laboratory activities as assigned

Description

The Quality Assurance Laboratory Technician will provide technical and administrative support to the Quality Assurance team. This individual will assist with laboratory equipment verification programs, document control activities, records management, while supporting quality assurance initiatives across multiple laboratories.

Primary Focus Areas:

• Assist with laboratory thermometer verification and calibration procedures

• Support balance and weight verification programs

• Perform document control activities

Additional Responsibilities:

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr.
