Job description

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced laboratory professional to support microbiological quality control and environmental monitoring activities in a GMP-regulated setting. The ideal candidate will be adept in aseptic techniques and routine sampling procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory and internal quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Perform aseptic sampling and testing procedures, including endotoxin and bioburden assays.
2. Conduct routine environmental monitoring (EM) of classified cleanroom spaces.
3. Collect water samples, including from production and animal facility systems, for microbial and chemical analysis.
4. Perform clean steam and compressed gas sampling according to established protocols.
5. Maintain laboratory cleanliness and organization, including restocking supplies, cleaning, and applying 5S principles in the cold room.
6. Accurately document all activities and results in compliance with cGMP and standard operating procedures.
7. Support general laboratory duties and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project timelines and quality standards.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Biology, or a related scientific discipline; or equivalent combination of education and relevant laboratory experience (2–4 years preferred).
• Proficient in standard microbiological techniques and aseptic laboratory practices.
• Familiarity with cGMP regulations and laboratory compliance requirements strongly preferred.
• Prior experience working in a microbiology or quality control laboratory setting.
• Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and comfortable with data analysis and laboratory information management systems (LIMS).
• Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new techniques and technologies.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent documentation and organizational skills.
• Capable of multitasking and managing workload in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
• Effective critical thinking, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without restriction or future sponsorship.
