Job summary

KLN Family Brands is hiring a Quality Control Lab Tech for Tuffy's Pet Treats in Delano, MN. This role supports lab testing, data entry, and sampling to ensure product quality and safety on the production floor.

The position requires use of specialized lab equipment and adherence to GMPs, with shifts as listed. Competitive hourly pay includes a 6% shift differential and benefits package.

Qualifications

• General mathematical ability.

• Basic leadership skills for small teams.
• Basic computer skills and data entry.
• Safe work record and adherence to PPE.
• Experience using lab equipment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Follow procedures to maintain safe lab duties.
• Operate and maintain lab equipment (LECO Protein Analyzer, pH meter, water activity, texture analyzer, NIR Foss).
• Review Safety Data Sheets and wear PPE as required.
• Work with peers, supervisors, and subordinate groups.
• Perform quality checks on finished products from production lines.
• Collect samples for analytical testing and product cuttings.
• Enter results in IFS and Lab database.
• Coordinate sampling with line personnel and outside labs as needed.
• Monitor environmental yeast, mold, and total plate counts.
