Job summary

KLN Family Brands, based in Perham, MN, is seeking a Lead Weekend Sanitation Technician for Tuffy’s Pet Foods. The role covers the Fri-Sun shift, 6am–6pm, with emphasis on sanitation leadership and safe operation of processing equipment.

Compensation is hourly and up to $25.01, with 36 hours worked paying 40 hours; includes eligibility for profit sharing after one year and comprehensive crew benefits as described in our benefits package.

Qualifications

• Self-motivation and the ability to work independently.
• Comfort working on ladders and lifts at various heights.
• Must wear safety harnesses in required areas.
• Good hand-eye coordination and safe work practices.
• Able to drive a forklift and pass certification.
• Knowledge of chemicals and basic computer skills (Word/Excel).
• Experience or training 3 months in sanitation or manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Oversee sanitation and janitorial activities in processing areas.
• Train sanitation staff on SOPs and WIs.
• Perform cleaning of equipment and facilities per SOPs.
• Operate equipment and assemble/disassemble as needed.
• Maintain sanitation inventory and monitor for pests.
• Suggest facility improvements and write work requests for maintenance.
