Gemini Plastics Inc. in Levittown, PA is seeking a Quality Inspector for the 2nd shift. You will inspect parts from multiple presses, compare to prints, and document findings to ensure products meet specifications. Training is provided for those transitioning from machining or production roles.

You will work on a full-time, on-site basis with overtime built into the weekly schedule. Competency in calipers, micrometers, and gauges is valued, along with a commitment to ISO 13485 standards.

Qualificações

$17–$21/hr + overtime. About $50,000–$75,000 a year, depending on overtime hours.

• Full-time, on-site in Levittown, PA, on the 2nd shift.
• Hours: Mon–Fri, 10- to 12-hour shifts starting at 3pm. Overtime built into every week. Hours can be discussed.

• Quality inspection experience preferred. New to inspection? We will train the right person from machining, production, lab work or other detail-focused hands-on work (details below).
• A short commute from Fallsington, Levittown, Fairless Hills, Tullytown, Morrisville, Yardley, Bristol, Langhorne, Penndel and Bensalem in PA, and Trenton, Hamilton, Ewing, Bordentown, Florence and Burlington in NJ.

What the job is like

You are the person who decides whether parts are good. When a setup tech brings a new mold up to speed, you check the first parts against the print before production runs. Throughout the shift you pull samples from the presses, look for short shots, flash, sink, splay and warp, and measure critical dimensions with calipers, micrometers, height gauges and pin gauges.

When something drifts out of spec, you tag and hold the parts, document what you found and work with the setup tech to find the cause. Sometimes it is a process setting and sometimes the fix is in the mold itself and goes to our in-house toolmakers. Every check you record becomes part of the quality record our ISO 13485 customers rely on.

What you inspect

Parts from 20+ injection presses, 38 to 500 tons, molded from whatever resin a job calls for, from commodity plastics to engineering and medical-grade materials. Each material and part brings its own defects to watch for.

Preferred qualifications

New to quality inspection? We will train the right person.

If you notice when something is off by a hair and you double-check your own work, you already have the hardest part of this job. We will teach you the parts, the prints and the gauges. Training is paid and hands-on, alongside experienced inspectors.

• A sharp eye for detail and patience for careful, repeated checks.
• Experience following written specs, checklists or procedures.
• Accurate record-keeping.
• Comfort with basic math and a computer.

• Military: Quality Assurance Specialist, Inspection Specialist.
• Production and machining: Machine Operator, CNC Operator, Machinist.

Physical requirements

Standing for long periods, close visual work, and lifting light weight on a manufacturing floor.
