Job summary

Plastic Ingenuity in Maumelle, AR seeks a Quality Inspector to ensure parts meet specifications through visual and physical testing using precision instruments. You will support the QC department with data collection, defect lists, and part measurement.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, 1–2 years in quality inspection, solid math skills, and strong English communication. ASQ certification is a plus, manufacturing experience is preferred, and safety is essential.

Responsibilities

• Read QC specifications to ascertain acceptable part specifications.
• Check parts to ensure they meet customers' specifications.
• Perform tests on parts including visual inspection and physical testing using measuring instruments.
• Evaluate data and issue reports for deviations from standards.
• Ensure measuring equipment is calibrated, validated and maintained; ensure safety during operation.
• Monitor testing procedures to ensure compliance with item specifications and standard methods.
• Use standard measuring instruments, gauges, and other tools as required.
• Distribute check sheets, gauges, plugs, and fixtures for inspector packing.
• Communicate customer requirements, sampling procedures, and tests to techs and inspectors.
• Follow good manufacturing practices to ensure product safety.
• Use computer programs to measure and check parts; use CMM, vision systems to measure and check parts.
• Understand and follow ISO requirements.

Role Summary:

The Quality Inspector is responsible for conducting testing procedures during the manufacturing processes to ensure that products comply with quality standards. This role provides administrative and technical support to the department including investigation and disposition of defective parts, creation and maintenance of standard defect lists, and part measurement and testing.

• Use standard measuring and testing instruments, functional gauges, and other tools as required
• Distribute check sheets, gauges, plugs, and fixtures for technician inspection
• Communicate customer requirements, sampling procedures, and tests to techs and inspector packers
• Follow good manufacturing practices to ensure product safety
• Use computer programs to measure and check parts
• Use CMM, vision systems, etc. to measure and check parts
• Understand and follow ISO requirements
