Seaway Plastics in Port Richey, FL is seeking a Quality Inspector to ensure products meet strict quality standards. You will perform floor QA, first-piece and in-process inspections, and manage sample records while supporting production teams on quality concerns.

Key duties include final audit inspections, certifications tracking, and maintaining QA documentation. Experience with QMS and ISO standards, plus strong attention to detail, are essential for success in a fast-paced manufacturing

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in QA or inspection in manufacturing.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Proficient with hand-held measuring instruments.
• Experience with QMS and ISO quality initiatives.

Responsabilités

• Create inspection records and pull samples per production schedule according to QMS.
• Provide QA support during job start-ups and perform first piece inspection.
• Perform in-process sample inspections and record results.
• Manage all samples on the production floor and return to storage.
• Document non-conforming products with NCRs per QMS procedures.
• Support production operators with quality questions and ensure documentation accuracy.
• Assist with customer-specified SPC as required.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Floor QA

• Create inspection record template; pull samples, quality alerts, and all required documents for future jobs per production schedule in accordance with QMS procedures.
• Provide quality support during job start-ups and perform 1st piece inspection and approval in a timely manner.
• Perform in-process sample inspections per inspection plans and record on inspection record.
• Manage all part samples related to jobs running on the production floor; including pulling, creating, and returning to storage.
• Document non-conforming products during inspection by opening NCR’s per QMS procedures.
• Provide support to production machine operators and production team members related to product quality questions.
• Ensure completeness and accuracy of all QA floor documentation at all points during production.
• Provide support for customer specified SPC as required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Final Audit

• Perform AQL sample final inspections per inspection plan and in accordance with QMS procedure.
• Perform AQL sample receiving inspections for all items used in the manufacturing of products in accordance with QMS procedure.
• Ensure all incoming items used in manufacturing of products have certifications and those certifications are properly scanned and associated correctly for retrieval when required.
• Create and accurately supply all certification of compliance documents as per customer requirements, including all appropriate material certifications or inspection data as required.
• Ensure that all required final and receiving inspection records are complete and accurate in accordance with QMS procedures.
• Backup and assist with floor inspections when workload permits or floor inspection team members are absent.
• Backup and assist with secondary final inspections when workload permits or team members are absent.
• Document non-conforming products during inspection by opening NCR’s per QMS procedures.

• Minimum of 1 year experience in a Quality Assurance or inspection role in a manufacturing environment.
• Capable of working independently with minimal supervision and completing all required duties consistently.

• Experienced in good manufacturing practices and quality initiatives and programs.
• Some experience with QMS systems including ISO9001/ ISO13485/ AS9100.

• Physically capable of frequently lifting boxes up to 30 lbs.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to maintain a consistent pace in a fast moving production environment.
• Experience with computers and computer software such as Microsoft Office or inspection related software.
• Experience with engineering part drawings related to part geometry, dimensions & tolerances, drawing views, and interpretation of requirements.
• Proficient use of hand-held measuring instruments. Experience with micrometers, height gauges, calipers, indicators, and optical comparator.
• Knowledge and interpretation skills regarding the principles of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance.
• Working knowledge of inspecting techniques and testing procedures.
