Responsibilities

Job Description

As a Quality Control Inspector III, you'll use your skills and expertise to ensure that our incoming parts, in-process production, and shipped products meet all quality requirements. You'll be responsible for visually inspecting materials, parts, and products at different stages of production, recording observations, and making recommendations for process improvements. You'll inspect for structural flaws, internal defects, or missing welds, and accept, reject, or request rework of defective or malfunctioning units or systems. You'll apply, revise, and maintain our quality standards for receiving, in-process, and final inspection.

Physical/Mental/Emotional Requirements: Frequently walk, sit, stand, and climb stairs. Repeatedly perform hand, arm, and finger motions requiring dexterity. Visual requirements include close, distance, and depth perception, as well as color differentiation. Hearing abilities include discerning tones and volumes. Frequently lift or carry up to 50 lbs.

Working Conditions: Frequently exposed to outdoor elements such as high/low temperatures, sun, rain, or snow. Occasionally exposed to fumes or hazardous chemicals/materials. Occasionally exposed to loud noises.

Safety Sensitive Position: Responsible for safety or security of people or property. Inspects, handles, or transports explosives, hazardous materials, structures, equipment, or vehicles. Performs aviation-related duties and operates or supervises heavy or dangerous machinery.

Must-haves:

• Knowledge and ability to interpret technical schematics and drawings
• Knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing
• Extensive experience with finished goods inspection
• Experience with Costpoint and/or AEGIS-MES
• Understanding of material flow in operations
• Ability to draft work instructions and SOPs
• FAA A&P License
• Ability to obtain and maintain SECRET clearance

Education:

• High School Diploma or GED, typically with 5+ years of relevant experience
• Higher education may substitute for experience
• Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of education
