Job summary

IPG Photonics in Oxford, MA is seeking a Small Piece Assembler to build components and sub-assemblies for high-powered lasers. You will work with microscopes, tweezers, and follow precise procedures to ensure quality in a clean room environment.

Candidates should have good communication, be reliable with attendance, and be able to work overtime. Prior PCWindows familiarity is a plus in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Must have good communication skills and be able to understand and follow verbal and written work instructions.
• Regular and reliable attendance and the ability to work overtime are essential functions of this job.
• Must be present and on time for work as scheduled.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, install and inspect components; position, align and repair pieces and/or clean parts.
• Arm-hand steadiness with hand to eye coordination is required.
• Work with very small fragile parts in a clean room environment.
• Follow verbal and written work instructions and demonstrate good communication.
• Maintain regular attendance and be able to work overtime as needed.
• Be punctual and careful, able to identify errors.
• Familiarity with PCs and Microsoft Windows is a plus.
