Job summary

IPG Photonics in Marlborough, MA is seeking a Small Piece Assembler to build components and sub-assemblies for high-powered lasers, following set procedures with instruction. On-the-job training provided to ensure you will thrive.

You'll work with very small parts in a clean room, using microscopes and tweezers, and must maintain precise workmanship. Regular attendance and overtime may be required, with hours from 5:00 am to 1:30 pm.

Qualifications

• Must have good communication skills and be able to understand and follow verbal and written work instructions.
• Regular and reliable attendance and the ability to work overtime are essential functions of this job.
• Must be present and on time for work as scheduled.
• Be able to work carefully, consistently and be able to identify errors.
• Familiarity with PCs and Microsoft Windows, a plus but no required.
• H.S Diploma or equivalent required.
• Hours are 5 am- 1:30 pm w/ weekly overtime and occasional Saturdays.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, install and inspect components; which may require positioning, aligning and repairing pieces and/or cleaning parts.
