Job summary

IPG Photonics in Marlborough, MA is seeking a Small Piece Assembler to build components and sub-assemblies for high-powered lasers following precise procedures. You will work with microscopes and tweezers, assemble, install and inspect parts, and ensure quality in a clean room environment.

The role requires good communication, reliable attendance, and the ability to work overtime, including occasional Saturdays.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• Must have good communication and be able to understand and follow verbal and written work instructions.
• Regular and reliable attendance and the ability to work overtime are essential functions of this job.
• Be able to work carefully, consistently and identify errors.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, install and inspect components, which may require positioning, aligning and repairing pieces and/or cleaning parts.
• Arm-hand steadiness with hand to eye coordination a must.
• Comfortable working with very small fragile parts in a clean room environment.
