Job summary

Gulf Island LLC, located in Houma, LA, is seeking a QC Inspector (Manufacturing) to ensure product quality in enclosure areas from pre-fabrication to final assembly. You will read engineering drawings, measure with gauges, document results, and photograph accepted conditions for records.

The role requires 2+ years QC experience in manufacturing, NEC knowledge for electrical enclosures, and the ability to collaborate with Production and Quality teams to resolve issues.

Qualifications

• Must read and interpret engineering drawings and work instructions.
• Ability to read a tape measure and use gauges and wrenches.
• 2+ years experience as a QC Inspector in manufacturing or assemblies.
• Strong NEC knowledge if candidate for Electrical Enclosure area.
• Pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and related software.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret drawings to understand product requirements.
• Verify conformance using tape measures, gauges and other tools.
• Document inspections and testing on proper forms.
• Photograph accepted condition and upload to files.
• Assist Production to ensure quality is built into the product.
• Support Quality Lead, Engineer and Manager in daily tasks.
• Communicate with Production and Engineering to resolve issues.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
