Job summary

Gulf Island LLC in Houma, LA is seeking a QC Inspector (Night Shift) to ensure product quality across enclosure areas. You will read engineering drawings, verify conformance with SOPs, document outcomes, and support production while resolving issues in a timely manner.

The role requires 2+ years QC experience in manufacturing, knowledge of NEC for electrical enclosures, and strong math/technical skills. Must pass drug screening and background checks. Outdoor and indoor work vary by shift.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of QC Inspector experience in manufacturing or assemblies.
• Knowledge of NEC when Electrical Enclosure area is involved.
• Strong understanding of QC principles and standards.
• Good math and technical skills.
• Ability to read and interpret Engineering drawings and tape measures.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret Engineering drawings and SOPs to understand product requirements.
• Verify products meet drawings and SOPs using tape measures, gauges, wrenches.
• Document inspections and testing on appropriate forms.
• Photograph accepted condition of product and components for records.
• Upload inspection and testing documents to files.
• Assist Production to ensure quality is built into the product without hindering production.
• Assist in resolving quality-related issues promptly.
• Support Quality Lead, Engineer and Manager in daily tasks and projects.
• Communicate clearly with Production and Engineering to resolve quality issues.
