An established industry player is seeking a Quality Control Inspector to ensure the highest standards in aerospace manufacturing. This full-time role involves conducting inspections using precision tools like micrometers and calipers, preparing detailed inspection reports, and maintaining rigorous documentation standards. Candidates will interface with suppliers and team members to rectify issues, requiring strong attention to detail and troubleshooting skills. Able to do basic part inspection (use micrometers, calipers, height gages), but must be strong, if not stronger, in the systems and paperwork side.
Prepare 1st Article and In Process Inspection Reports.
Assign which gage to use for each characteristic while preparing the Inspection Reports.
We can train for our specific environment, but candidates must understand the concepts.
Audit completed paperwork for traceability and accuracy. Must have attention to detail and be able to troubleshoot and identify what needs to be corrected.
Interface with suppliers via email and Amco team members in person to get corrections made as required.
Knowledge in DISCUS software is helpful (this is our blueprint ballooning software).
Knowledge of AS9100 auditing or record keeping is helpful.
