Job summary

Noveon Magnetics is seeking a Quality Control Inspector to ensure products meet established standards at our San Marcos, Texas facility. The role emphasizes inspecting raw materials, in-process items, and finished goods, using various testing methods to verify dimensions, weight, and composition.

You will document findings and participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and strong attention to detail, with experience in quality systems

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies.
• Technical proficiency with testing equipment and methodologies.
• Analytical skills to interpret data and identify trends.
• Excellent documentation and reporting abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual and physical checks on raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to identify defects.
• Use testing equipment to measure product parameters and ensure tolerances.
• Record inspection results and analyze data trends using SPC methods.
• Calibrate measuring instruments regularly to maintain accuracy.

A QC Inspector is responsible for inspecting and testing products throughout the manufacturing process to ensure they meet established quality standards, identifying defects, and reporting any issues to maintain the company's quality control and compliance with industry regulations, often utilizing various testing methods and documenting findings to support continuous improvement initiatives.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Recording inspection results, analyzing data trends using statistical process control (SPC) methods, and identifying potential quality issues.
• Regularly checking and calibrating measuring instruments to maintain accuracy and reliability.
• Maintaining detailed records of inspection findings, test results, and non-conformance reports, communicating issues to relevant personnel.
• Following established quality standards and work instructions to ensure consistency in quality checks.

We Are Looking For Someone Who

• Has a high school diploma or equivalent qualification.

• Technical proficiency with relevant testing equipment and methodologies.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to pass a drug screening, medical physical and, if applicable, visual testing.
• Able to move up to 50lbs.
• Can wear PPE.
• Comfortable standing for long periods of time, up to and exceeding 60 minutes.
• Is capable of making repetitive movements including, but not limited to, sitting, squatting and walking up and down stairs.
