Job summary

Noveon Magnetics is seeking a Control Room Operator (2nd Shift) in San Marcos, Texas. You will support the Production Supervisor by overseeing process unit data, utilities, and machine controls to maintain steady state operations.

The role requires attention to detail, safety compliance, and timely issue diagnosis. The position offers a base salary with full benefits and opportunities to grow within a fast-growing team focused on high-quality magnet production.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of manufacturing experience.
  • High School Diploma or GED; Associate degree preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with multiple stakeholders.
  • Ability to read P&ID diagrams and interpret system data.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and basic control systems.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor a machine-system as part of the magnet production process.
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow safety standards.
  • Interpret system data and machine control codes to diagnose issues.
  • Read and understand plant schematics and diagrams.
  • Meet production standards by monitoring runtime and quality.

Job Title: Control Room Operator (2nd Shift)

Reports to: System Specialist Supervisor

Location: San Marcos, Texas

About This Role

A control room operator supports the Production Supervisor by overseeing all operating data for process units and facility utilities. Monitoring the essential systems is integral to steady state operations of the process in all steps.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Operating a Machine-System which is part of the Magnet Production process.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized work area.
  • Monitoring, using, and interacting with machine control codes, computers.
  • Providing valuable information to help diagnose machine issues.
  • Reading system schematics.
  • Conducting work according to standards set by the customer.
  • Performing routine job inspections to ensure that the company polices are being followed and routine maintenance is being performed.
  • Meeting production standards by monitoring machine performance to include managing run time and quality standards.
  • Oversee the operational data for all active units and utility systems.
  • Performing other related duties as assigned, including but not limited to tasks related to the furnace.
We Are Looking For Someone Who
  • Has 2+ years of manufacturing experience.
  • Has at least a High School Diploma or GED, Associates degree is preferred.
  • Possesses a strong work ethic and good communication skills.
  • Can communicate effectively between all stakeholders, to maintain product quality and consistent output across the different systems within the organization.
  • Has the ability to read and comprehend Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams.
  • Is knowledgeable in using Microsoft Office, and has some familiarity with control systems.
  • Is able to generate and comprehend production and job order reports.
  • Has the ability to follow process steps and parameters and, is proficient in the use of modern technology.
  • Has a solid grasp of basic physics, math, and chemistry.
Additionally
  • Must be able to pass a drug screening, medical physical and, if applicable, visual testing.
  • Is able to move up to 50lbs.
  • Has the ability to stand for long periods of time, up to and exceeding 60 minutes.
  • Is comfortable making repetitive movements including, but not limited to, sitting and squatting.
  • Can tolerate variable and sometimes extreme physical conditions during visits or inspections of company equipment.
  • Able to wear PPE.
