Job summary

Noveon Magnetics Inc. in San Marcos, Texas is seeking a Maintenance Technician (3rd Shift) to join our maintenance team.

This role focuses on routine maintenance, problem solving, and troubleshooting critical production equipment to maximize uptime and reliability. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in industrial maintenance, a strong grasp of mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, the ability to read technical documents, and OSHA 10 certification.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years' experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial manufacturing production equipment.
• Strong understanding of mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Basic reading skills and ability to follow directions.
• High School diploma or GED; Associate Technical Degree preferred.
• Ability to read and understand technical documents.
• OSHA 10 Hours Certified.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and knowledge of EHS requirements and safety improvements.
• Preferably certified within a technical or vocational program.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance tasks including plumbing and mechanical repairs, and assist in installations.
• Provide planned, scheduled, unscheduled, preventative, and reactive repairs to maximize up time and reliability of production equipment.
• Operate company vehicles such as forklifts, man lifts, overhead cranes, etc., and obtain proper training.
• Conduct other projects and assignments as needed and assigned by the Maintenance Manager.

This role is critical to the Maintenance team, performing routine maintenance functions and mechanical and systematic troubleshooting. They help oversee the upkeep of the facilities and equipment that support production.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Performing assigned tasks that include but not limited to; plumbing, mechanical repairs and assisting in installations, and general repairs including troubleshooting.

We Are Looking For Someone Who

• Has a minimum of 5 years of experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial manufacturing production and material‑handling equipment.
• Possesses a strong understanding of mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Has basic reading skills and must be able to follow directions.
• Has a High School diploma or GED required; Associate Technical Degree preferred.
• Can display the ability to read rd3rdand understand technical documents.
• Is OSHA 10 Hours Certified.
• Has excellent problem‑solving skills, understanding of industrial EHS requirements/policies, corrective action efforts/systems improvements, equipment installations, participate in risk/hazard abatement.
• Can recognize and mitigate potential safety hazards.
• Is preferably certified within a specific technical or vocational training.

Additionally

• Must be able to pass a drug screening, medical physical and, if applicable, visual testing.
• Ability to regularly move 30-50lbs.
• Ability to regularly perform repetitive tasks.
• Ability to regularly possess manual dexterity to put parts or pieces together quickly and accurately.
