Primary Talent Partners has a new contract opening for a Quality Control Inspectorwith a global science and technology company in Pleasant Prairie, WI. This is a 12-month contract with a potential for extension.
Pay: $24.81/hr;W2 contract, no PTO, no Benefits. ACA-compliant supplemental package available for enrollment.Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must be able to sit on Primary Talent Partners W2 without sponsorship.
Schedule:Rotative Schedule 2X2X3 6pm to 6am.The Position is a Night Shift QC Role. (Quality Control Inspector)
Description
- We are seeking a dedicated and detail-focused Quality Control Inspector to support our manufacturing of industrial, food, and medical grade protective plastic packaging through precision inspection and documentation.
- This role involves performing in-process and final inspections of packaging films, ensuring all products meet dimensional, visual, and regulatory requirements.
- The ideal candidate is familiar with GMPs, FSSC 22000, and ISO 9001 standards.
- This is a hands‑on position ideal for someone who takes pride in quality, accuracy, and contributing to a safe and efficient work environment.
Responsibilities
- Follow all applicable and Spectrum Plastics Groups Safety Policies.
- Perform in-process inspections of plastic films to verify dimensional accuracy (length, width, and thickness)
- Conduct visual inspections for surface defects such as gels, discoloration, voids, and inclusions.
- Use precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, burst testers, and rulers).
- Ensure that all required process operations have been performed on the product that is being inspected.
- Support lot traceability through accurate recording of material and process data.
- Monitor extrusion line samples for consistency during shifts.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of inspection workstations.
- Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and work instructions.
- Enters all quality data into the appropriate electronic or manual systems.
- Notifies the appropriate personnel if unusual product defects are identified or if process falls below acceptable levels.
- Assist in the control and documentation of nonconforming material, performing special inspections, material segregation, and scrapping activities as required.
- Accurately completes all administrative activities associated with quality inspection.
Qualifications
- Ability to read and write in English.
- Capable of carrying up to 40 lbs.
- Able to stand 6-8 hours daily (Ideally 6-12 hours/day).
- Bilingual is a PLUS
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training preferred.
- 1–3 years of inspection experience, ideally in a regulated manufacturing or plastic extrusion environment.
- Understanding of ISO 9001, FSSC 22000, and GMP requirements.
- Comfortable with measurement equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow documented procedures.
- Basic mechanical aptitude.
- Intermediate computer skills.
- Knowledgeable in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Ability to solve problems, identify errors and deficiencies and perform research with limited guidance
