Job summary

Spectrum Plastics Groups is seeking a Quality Control Inspector in Pleasant Prairie, WI for a night shift (6pm–6am) on a 12-month contract. The role involves in-process and final inspections of plastic films to meet regulatory standards, with GMP, ISO 9001, and FSSC 22000 familiarity.

The ideal candidate will have 1–3 years of inspection experience in regulated manufacturing or plastics, a high school diploma, and proficiency with measurement tools. W2 contract, no PTO or benefits included.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Follow all Spectrum Plastics Groups Safety Policies.
• Perform in-process inspections to verify dimensional accuracy (length, width, thickness).
• Conduct visual inspections for surface defects (gels, discoloration, voids, inclusions).
• Use precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, burst testers, rulers).
• Ensure required process operations are completed on the product inspected.
• Support lot traceability through accurate data recording.
• Monitor extrusion line samples for consistency across shifts.
• Maintain clean and organized inspection workstations.
• Follow GMPs and work instructions.
• Enter quality data into electronic or manual systems.
• Notify personnel if defects detected or processes fall below standards.
• Assist in controlling nonconforming material and performing scrapping as needed.
• Complete all administrative tasks related to inspection.

• We are seeking a dedicated and detail-focused Quality Control Inspector to support our manufacturing of industrial, food, and medical grade protective plastic packaging through precision inspection and documentation.
• This role involves performing in-process and final inspections of packaging films, ensuring all products meet dimensional, visual, and regulatory requirements.
• The ideal candidate is familiar with GMPs, FSSC 22000, and ISO 9001 standards.
• This is a hands‑on position ideal for someone who takes pride in quality, accuracy, and contributing to a safe and efficient work environment.

• Assist in the control and documentation of nonconforming material, performing special inspections, material segregation, and scrapping activities as required.
• Accurately completes all administrative activities associated with quality inspection.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and write in English.
• Capable of carrying up to 40 lbs.
• Able to stand 6-8 hours daily (Ideally 6-12 hours/day).
• Bilingual is a PLUS
• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training preferred.
• 1–3 years of inspection experience, ideally in a regulated manufacturing or plastic extrusion environment.
• Understanding of ISO 9001, FSSC 22000, and GMP requirements.
• Comfortable with measurement equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow documented procedures.
• Basic mechanical aptitude.
• Intermediate computer skills.
• Knowledgeable in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Ability to solve problems, identify errors and deficiencies and perform research with limited guidance
