Position Description

As a Quality Control Inspector at TMC Vibration Control, you will be essential in ensuring that all products meet our rigorous quality standards before they reach our customers. Working closely with production teams, you will inspect materials, parts, and finished goods for accuracy and adherence to specifications. This role requires keen attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Your efforts will directly impact our commitment to delivering high-quality products and maintaining customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

1. Conduct inspections of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
2. Utilize measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify product dimensions and tolerances.
3. Review product blueprints and specifications to ensure all quality requirements are met throughout the production process.
4. Document inspection results, recording any deviations or defects and working with production teams to resolve quality issues.
5. Perform first article inspections and provide feedback to production, supply chain, and engineering teams to ensure processes are meeting quality requirements.
6. Identify non-conforming materials or products, segregating and reporting them for corrective action.
7. Participate in continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities for enhancing product quality and reducing defects.
8. Collaborate with production staff to ensure proper understanding and adherence to quality procedures and standards.
9. Maintain accurate records of inspections, audits, and corrective actions in accordance with company procedures.
10. Assist with the calibration and maintenance of inspection tools and equipment to ensure accurate measurements.
11. Adhere to safety regulations and ensure that all quality control activities are conducted in a safe and compliant manner.

Qualifications:

1. High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certification in quality control or a related field is a plus.
2. 2+ years of experience in quality inspection, preferably in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
3. Familiarity with quality control methods, standards, and inspection techniques.
4. Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
5. Experience using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
6. Forklift certification or experience operating material-handling equipment is a plus.
7. Strong attention to detail, with the ability to identify and document defects or non-conformances accurately.
8. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with production teams to resolve quality issues.
9. Basic computer skills for documenting and reporting inspection results.
10. Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds as required by the job.
11. Commitment to safety and adherence to quality standards and procedures.

Compensation

Employee Type: Hourly

Salary Minimum: $45,000
