Job summary

Rocket EMS, Inc. is seeking a QC Inspector to ensure high-reliability PCB assemblies meet strict quality standards. You will perform First Article inspections, monitor production quality on the SMT line, and enforce IPC-A-610 standards.

You will actively stop a line when quality is at risk and work with the team to drive improvements. The role requires at least 2 years in electronics inspection, IPC-A-610 or J-STD-001 certification, and strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of IPC workmanship standards (Class 2 and 3).
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and BOMs.
• Basic computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to identify and classify defects accurately.

Responsibilities

• Review job documentation (MPI, Deviations, ECOs, and Customer Requirements) before inspection.
• Perform SMT First Article Inspections and verify compliance with IPC-A-610 (Class 2 and 3) and customer standards.
• Monitor throughput and quality on assigned lines; stop production if major defects are found and elevate issues immediately.
• Provide daily quality pass-down reports and update leads/supervisors on inspection results.
• Raise and review Technical Inquiries for discrepancies; ensure no jobs start without proper authorization.
• Support bottleneck areas as directed by Supervisor, Engineer, or Manager.
• Escalate unresolved issues to the Quality Manager.
• Follow and enforce all procedures related to ESD, MSD handling, housekeeping, maintenance, safety, and inspection protocols.
• Suggest and support continuous process and quality improvements.

This role requires attention to detail, knowledge of IPC standards, and the confidence to stop a line when quality is at risk.

• Perform SMT First Article Inspections and verify compliance with IPC-A-610 (Class 2 and 3) and customer standards.

• Monitor throughput and quality on assigned lines; stop production if major defects are found and elevate issues immediately.

Pay Range

$20—$25 USD
