Job summary

CAL-AURUM INDUSTRIES seeks a Quality Control Inspector to ensure products meet safety, manufacturing, and regulatory standards. The role reports to the Quality Supervisor and requires extreme attention to detail, collaboration, and adaptability.

Responsibilities include inspecting components to specifications, measuring with precision instruments, recording data, and conducting functional and destructive tests.

Qualifications

• 1 to 3 years of relevant work experience.
• Experience with inspection tools such as microscopes, micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
• Ability to read blueprints and production drawings/travelers.

Responsibilities

• Inspect components and parts for conformance to specifications.
• Measure parts and plated areas using precision tools.
• Record inspection data and report defects.
• Perform functional tests with electronic test equipment.
• Reject nonconforming plated parts and incoming materials.
• Perform destructive solder testing.

Job description

We are seeking a Quality Control Inspector to ensures products meet safety, manufacturing, and regulatory standards. Reporting directly to the Quality Supervisor. This role requires a candidate who is extremely detail-oriented, collaborative, and adaptable.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspection: inspect components, and parts for conformance to specifications, following: o Blue prints
• Drawings oProduction travelers
• Measuring: Measures parts and plated areas for conformance, uniformity and thickness to specified dimensions, using precision measuring instruments, such as: o Micrometers
• Vernier calipers oGauges
• Micrometers oDial indicators
• Examination and Recording: examine parts for surface defects, such as chips, scratches, and pinholes, or dark plating areas. Examines production documents to ensure that all inspecting, and testing steps were performed according to specifications. Records inspection data, such as type and percent of defects, and rework required.
• Functional and Operational Testing: Using electronic test equipment, such as: o Xray
• Also, performs destructive testing to determine adhesion of product or part oAlso, performs solder testing using molten solder
• Authority: Has authority to reject plated parts deemed nonconformant, in addition to, reject incoming material as noncompliant prior to processing.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds and spend long hours sitting at a desk

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary Range: $19.00 and up, dependent on experience and education.
