ACTIA Corporation has been manufacturing quality vehicle electronics and diagnostic equipment for growing markets such as Off-Highway, Bus & Coach, Truck & Fleet, Marine and Specialty Vehicles for over 30 years. ACTIA Group is an international group based in Toulouse, France.
We are currently looking for an Quality Control Inspector to join our team in Elkhart, IN. The Quality Control Inspector is required to understand and use recognized quality engineering principles, tools and techniques to monitor product quality and process reliability. In addition the Quality Control Inspector will be tasked with following ACTIA’s quality manual, processes, work instructions and employee handbook.
Primary duties and responsibilities:
Incoming Product Inspection
Ensure compliance of incoming product to predetermined requirements, specifications and/or standards.
Document / report inspection results to Quality Engineer/Quality Manager
Maintain approved sample system, (as deemed necessary).
Maintain inspection and testing fixtures for receiving audit activities
Supplier First Article Inspection Report verification
Non-Conforming Product Returns
Process supplier returns on a scheduled basis
Report the status to Quality Engineer/Quality Manager on a scheduled basis
Suspect Parts Processing
Report the status to Quality Engineer/Quality Manager scheduled basis

Requirements
Education and/or Experience:
High school degree or equivalent, two-year technical certificate or degree is desirable. Three years of related experience preferred.
Must have PC knowledge/skills, Microsoft Office Suite as well as other manufacturing and quality software programs, since they will be used to monitor and report departmental activities
A working knowledge of ISO-9001, APQP procedures and/or other quality systems is a plus
Language Skills:
Effective verbal and written communication with co-workers, management, suppliers and customers is required. Ability to read and interpret documents such as engineering drawings (CAD), schematics, technical documentation, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as calculate figures, fractions, percentages, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
