Job summary

WENCOR in United States, New York, is seeking an Inspector/Stock Clerk to receive parts from customers and suppliers, inspect for damage, and prepare repair documents. You will learn ISO procedures, use measuring devices and hand tools, and maintain accurate inventory levels.

This role offers a base hourly pay range of $21-$24, plus bonus potential, and comprehensive benefits including health, dental, vision, Life and disability insurance, 401(k) match up to 6%, and vacation/sick days with

  • Must have H.S. Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

  • Log in, inspect and analyze parts shipped/mailed from other companies or clients.
  • Read repair instructions and produce repair (Traveler) documents.
  • Contact customer for information and communicate with internal and external customers.
  • Requisition detail components and maintain inventory/stock levels.
  • Enter parts at a computer console and become familiar with software systems.
  • Maintain inventory of rotable material and stock verification.
  • Assist other inspectors and employees as needed.
  • Support the Quality Management System and implement standard work.

Overview Of The Position

Receive parts from customers and/or vendors, and other material from suppliers. Inspect all items for damage. Perform necessary inspection procedures to insure that incoming parts meet all required specifications and standards. Prepare repair documents utilizing computer software and required procedure(s). Become competent in the use of measuring devices and hand tools. Become familiar with ISO policy and procedures. Maintain inventory and appropriate stock levels.


Base salary range: $21 to $24 hourly, plus bonus potential, comprehensive health/dental/vision/Life and disability insurance, 401(k) match up to 6%, and Vacation, sick days, flexible work.


Essential Duties And Responsibilities


  • Log in, inspect and analyze parts that are shipped/mailed in from other companies or clients for service.

  • Read repair instructions and produce repair (Traveler) documents.

  • Contact customer for information, etc. Be able to communicate with internal and external customers.

  • Requisition detail components and maintain inventory/stock levels.

  • Work at a computer console entering parts. Become familiar with computer software system.

  • Maintain inventory of rotable material and stock verification.

  • Assist other inspectors and employees as needed.

  • Assist in the management of the Quality Management System to assure each department has documented their procedures and the procedures are implemented and effective. Utilize and implement standard work in each department.


Education / Experience Requirements


  • Must have H.S. Diploma or GED

Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
