Job summary

RadNet, Inc. in New York seeks a detail-oriented parts inspector to receive and inspect incoming parts from customers and vendors. You will verify items meet specifications, prepare repair documents, and maintain accurate inventory using computer software and standard procedures.

You will use measuring tools, support the Quality Management System, and communicate with internal and external customers to ensure accuracy and timely availability of rotable materials.

Qualifications

  • Must have high school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical documents.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts.
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 25 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Log in, inspect and analyze parts shipped from customers or clients for service.
  • Read repair instructions and produce repair documents (Traveler).
  • Contact customer for information and communicate with internal/external customers.
  • Requisition detail components and maintain inventory/stock levels.
  • Work at a computer console entering parts and using computer software.
  • Maintain inventory of rotable material and stock verification.
  • Assist other inspectors and employees as needed.
  • Assist in management of the Quality Management System and ensure procedures are implemented.

Job description

Receive parts from customers and/or vendors, and other material from suppliers. Inspect all items for damage. Perform necessary inspection procedures to insure that incoming parts meet all required specifications and standards. Prepare repair documents utilizing computer software and required procedure(s). Become competent in the use of measuring devices and hand tools. Become familiar with ISO policy and procedures. Maintain inventory and appropriate stock levels.

Base salary range: $21 to $24 hourly, plus bonus potential, comprehensive health/dental/vision/Life and disability insurance, 401(k) match up to 6%, and Vacation, sick days, flexible work.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Log in, inspect and analyze parts that are shipped/mailed in from other companies or clients for service.
  • Read repair instructions and produce repair (Traveler) documents.

  • Assists in the management of the Quality Management System to assure each department has documented there procedures and the procedures are implemented and effective. Utilize and implement standard work in each department.

Education / Experience Requirements:

  • Must have H.S. Diploma or GED

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability :

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Physical Demands and Work Environment :

  • Must be able to stand, walk, sit, use hads to finger, handle or feel, reach with both arms.
  • Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
  • Must be able to talk and hear.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Have to ability to identify and distinguish colors.
  • Moderate office noise.
  • No vision requirements.
Pay Range

The estimated pay range for this job. Disclosing pay information promotes competitive and equitable pay. The actual pay rate will depend on the person's qualifications and experience. $21.00 - $24.00 / hour
