Job summary

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Quality Control Inspection experience in industrial/construction settings.
• Experience with ASME B31 piping codes and welding inspections.
• Familiarity with NDT and high-purity/cleanroom project sites.
• Experience inspecting carbon steel and stainless steel piping systems.
• AWS CWI certification is required for supervisor positions.
• OSHA 30, confined space, and first aid/CPR training.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct analysis, inspection, design, test, or integration to assure quality of products or components.
• Perform quality engineering reviews of design documentation for compliance.

• Coordinate with QA managers for inspection planning and audits.
• Provide project quality expectations to inspectors.
• Attend weekly project update meetings and convey status.
• Review purchased products/components and advise on acceptance/future purchases.
• Document data from QA activities per policies and procedures.
• Communicate significant QA issues and suggest process improvements to management.
• Prepare reports communicating QA involvement and results.
• Maintain knowledge of government/industry QA codes and standards.

• Plans and conducts the analysis, inspection, design, test, and/or integration to assure the quality of assigned product or component.

• Performs quality engineering reviews of design documentation for compliance with stated requirements, including vendor quality manuals and company quality records.
• Applies statistical process control (SPC) methods for analyzing data to evaluate the current process and process changes.
• Engage with the General Contractor’s Quality Assurance Manager for inspection planning, project compliance, non-conformance management, quality audits.
• Provide project quality expectations to new inspectors.
• Attend weekly project update meetings with the project group including upcoming activities, status and deadlines.
• Reviews all purchased products or components and provides input to the decision of whether to accept the product and future purchases from the vendor.
• Documents data obtained during all quality assurance activities, consistent with company policies and procedures.
• Communicates significant issues or developments identified during quality assurance activities and provides recommended process improvements to management.
• Prepares reports to communicate involvement and results of quality assurance activities.

Maintains a working knowledge of government and industry quality assurance codes and standards.

Skills and Requirements

• Haven't interviewed or applied to client within the last 12 months
• 3+ years of Quality Control Inspection experience supporting:
  • ASME B31 piping codes
  • Industrial or commercial construction projects (semiconductor preferred)
  • Fabrication and welding inspections
  • Non-destructive testing (NDT)
• Experience inspecting specialty welding applications and plastic piping systems such as:
  • Polypropylene (PP)
  • Polyvinyl chloride (PVC)
  • Other specialty process piping materials
• Come from the GC or Subcontractor side (not owner QA or 3rd party experience)
• Experience working on semiconductor, high-purity, or cleanroom project sites
• AWS CWI Certification (required for the inspector supervisor position)
• Experience inspecting carbon steel, stainless steel, and high-purity process piping systems
• OSHA 30, confined space, and first aid / CPR
