Job description

Position Overview

We are currently seeking a Quality Control (QC) Inspection Supervisor to join our San Antonio Assembly Plant to support our International Truck manufacturing line. The schedule is Monday – Thursday 5:30am – 4pm, Fridays and Saturdays as needed.

The Quality Control Inspection Supervisor leads a team in ensuring products meet the highest quality standards. This role involves overseeing the inspection process, supervising inspectors, and ensuring all materials and finished products comply with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements. The supervisor is responsible for developing and implementing inspection procedures, analyzing inspection data, identifying defects, and driving improvements. Additionally, the role ensures that products meet internal and external standards, while maintaining efficient workflows and promoting a culture of continuous improvement.

As International Motors continues to grow in San Antonio, we are expanding our production operations with the introduction of a night production shift. The night shift is Monday through Thursday from 5:30 PM to 4:00 AM, with production planned to begin in early 2027.

This position will initially work Day Shift and be required to transition to Night Shift as the operation ramps up in mid-2027.

Day Shift Schedule: Monday through Thursday, 5:30 AM–4:00 PM.

Night Shift Schedule: Monday through Thursday, 5:30 PM–4:00 AM.

This is a salaried position supporting a manufacturing operation. While the primary schedule aligns with the designated production shift, employees are expected to provide operational support as needed to meet business objectives. This may require working outside normal production hours, including extended shifts, production startup activities, recovery efforts, and occasional weekend support based on operational requirements.

Shift Differential: 10% differential upon transitioning to Night Shift work schedule.

Responsibilities
  • Directs and supports the Auditors and Inspection Technicians to ensure that all inspections and repairs are performed correctly and efficiently by a qualified team
  • Ensures the Quality Team consistently maintains a high level of inspection quality and adheres to all company and safety policies and practices
  • Accountable for shop floor activity that contributes to the completion of the planned workload within the projected time and cost allowed
  • Manage the flow of all inspection work, auditor and technician accountability, vehicle inspection and repair completion, accurate data capturing and continuous communication with the service auditors
  • Contact manager and plant quality / manufacturing managers regarding any unusual repairs of vehicles, if required
  • Ensure efficient flow of vehicles through the inspection process, that all vehicles are picked up, tracked, and delivered on time where required
  • Keep abreast of all inspection and rework criteria and product changes to maintain effectiveness in this role
  • Provide on-the-job technical support for auditors and technicians as required and assist in the development of their technical skills and abilities
  • Ensure that all inspections and reworks are consistently recorded and accurately documented; technicians’ comments are descriptive and precise
  • Understanding and keeping abreast of all federal, state, and local regulations that affect service operations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA, EPA, etc.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment. Ensure all inspectors wear appropriate PPE. Ensure the proper use, care, and storage of all tools
  • Attending all staff meetings as required.
  • Strive for respect and facilitate teamwork in the department and throughout the assembly facility
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree and at least 2 years of quality inspection experience
  • OR
  • Master's degree and at least 1 year of quality inspection experience
  • OR
  • At least 5 years of quality inspection experience

  • Excellent computer skills specifically in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, BI and Databases
  • Ability to work cross functionally on team projects, additional workloads, and tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to work in sometimes stressful fast paced environment
  • Must be highly detail-oriented with analytical and time management skills
