The role requires coordinating a team, planning preventive activities, and ensuring safety and reliability across equipment and processes.

Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree with maintenance experience or a master’s degree with relevant experience, or 5+ years in maintenance leadership.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of maintenance experience OR Master's degree with 1+ year of maintenance experience OR 5+ years of maintenance experience.
  • Experience leading a maintenance team in a manufacturing setting.
  • Strong track record with preventive maintenance programs and reliability improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee Maintenance Department operations to ensure smooth, efficient performance.
  • Plan and schedule preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
  • Develop, track, and manage key maintenance KPIs.
  • Monitor downtime and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Manage maintenance resources within budget and allocate capital as needed.
  • Lead, coach, and develop maintenance team members.

Job description

Position Overview

As International Motors continues to grow in San Antonio, we are expanding our production operations with the introduction of a night production shift. The night shift is Monday through Thursday from 5:30 PM to 4:00 AM, with production planned to begin in early 2027. This is a salaried position supporting a manufacturing operation. While the primary schedule aligns with the designated production shift, employees are expected to provide operational support as needed to meet business objectives. This may require working outside normal production hours, including extended shifts, production startup activities, recovery efforts, and occasional weekend support based on operational requirements.


Shift Differential: 10% differential upon transitioning to Night Shift work schedule.


Responsibilities


  • Ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the Maintenance Department

  • Plan and schedule preventive and corrective maintenance activities

  • Develop, track, and manage key maintenance KPIs

  • Monitor and report equipment downtime, driving continuous improvement

  • Manage maintenance resources effectively while adhering to budget requirements

  • Lead, coach, and develop maintenance team members

  • Make decisions regarding equipment maintenance strategies and resource allocation

  • Determine when to outsource work versus completing it in-house

  • Manage capital projects, including tracking and reporting progress

  • Support engineering teams in Lean manufacturing initiatives

  • Ensure compliance with all safety standards, processes, and regulations


Minimum Requirements


  • Bachelor's degree and at least 2 years of maintenance experience


OR



  • Master's degree and at least 1 year of maintenance experience


OR



  • At least 5 years of maintenance experience

  • Qualified candidates, excluding current employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. Desired Skills


  • Proven maintenance leadership experience at the supervisor or manager level

  • Strong background in tracking performance metrics and driving results

  • Experience with CMMS or EAM systems, including implementation and optimization

  • Demonstrated success in improving maintenance reliability and preventive maintenance programs

  • Experience planning daily maintenance activities, shutdowns, and large-scale projects (including working during shutdown periods)

  • Background in automotive or heavy manufacturing environments preferred
