Job summary

International Motors, LLC in San Antonio is preparing to launch a second production shift. The Associate Team Member will support a safe, organized, and continuously improving work environment by following EHS requirements, participating in 5S activities, and assisting with the transition to night shift planned for 2027.

Position Overview

As International Motors continues to grow in San Antonio, we are preparing to expand our production operations with the introduction of a second production shift. The shift is expected to operate Monday through Thursday from 5:30 PM to 4:00 AM, with production planned to begin in first quarter 2027.

Join a transformational growth initiative and play a key role in launching and scaling night shift operations at our San Antonio manufacturing facility.

The Associate Team Member is responsible for supporting a safe, organized, and continuously improving work environment through compliance with EHS requirements, participation in 5S activities, problem-solving, workplace housekeeping, and other duties as assigned.

This role will support the successful launch, stabilization, and ongoing operation of night shift by partnering across functions, maintaining safe and effective operations, and delivering results aligned with business needs.

Work Schedule and Shift Transition

Anticipated night-shift schedule: Monday through Thursday, 5:30 PM to 4:00 AM.

This position will initially begin on the first shift, Monday through Thursday from 5:30 AM to 4:00 PM, to complete training and onboarding and establish key plant partnerships before transitioning to the assigned second-shift schedule upon launch in 2027.

This position supports a manufacturing environment and requires flexibility to meet operational needs, including production recovery days, overtime, and occasional Friday or weekend coverage as needed. Schedules, start times, and transition timing may vary based on business needs.

Shift differential: Eligible employees assigned to the second shift will receive a 10% shift differential.

Responsibilities
Core Manufacturing Responsibilities
  • Work within the Production & Logistics Way and follow verbal instructions, standard written work instructions, position standards, and standard operating procedures.
  • Demonstrate Production & Logistics Way attitudes and behaviors, company core values, a positive team mindset, and excellent attendance.
  • Practice safe work behaviors, use required personal protective equipment, follow safety guidelines, and identify, correct, or elevate potentially unsafe conditions.
  • Comply with all Environmental, Health, and Safety requirements; report hazards, environmental risks, and incidents; operate equipment safely; and help maintain a safe and environmentally responsible workplace.
  • Take ownership of the assigned position or station and demonstrate a 100% quality mindset.
  • Learn and execute the department’s core processes and assigned tasks using established procedures and documentation.
  • Meet required competency or certification standards for assigned workstations, areas, and processes according to the department skills matrix.
  • Execute standard work within takt time, use Andon appropriately, speak up about deviations, initiate communication without hesitation, and demonstrate “Right from me” behavior.
  • Participate in continuous improvement, basic problem solving, 5S, workspace organization, housekeeping, safety methods, and Normal Situation practices.
  • Perform routine inspections of products, processes, and materials to ensure work output meets product specifications.
  • Keep the Team Lead and Supervisor informed of issues or challenges.
General Assembly and Body Assignments
  • Assemble and install commercial truck parts and components using hand, air, or power tools according to standard work instructions.
  • Fit, bolt, route, clip, and connect components or equipment according to product specifications.
  • Use cranes, hoists, and other safety-sensitive equipment to load fixtures, install components, or move equipment.
Supply Chain and Logistics Assignments
  • Operate mobile equipment, including forklifts, tuggers, and cherry pickers.
  • Handle materials, including loading and unloading trailers.
  • Process material paperwork or system entries and conduct inventory counts.
  • Receive, store, retrieve, and deliver parts to the point of assembly on time.
  • Perform subassembly and kitting for production.
Quality Assignments
  • Perform in-process validation inspections throughout the production line and pre-delivery inspections after final assembly.
  • Escalate deviations and document records in the Manufacturing Execution System.
  • Track deviations and completed actions and validate readiness for customer delivery.

Support production recovery days and additional coverage as needed. Perform other duties as assigned.
