Qualifications

• 5–10 years in low-voltage construction or mission-critical infra.
• 3–5 years QA/QC leadership or quality management.
• Experience supporting hyperscale or data center projects.
• Strong knowledge of fiber, copper, structured cabling, access control, CCTV, network/wireless.
• Ability to review drawings, specs, submittals, redlines, as-built docs, tests.
• Experience with copper/fiber testing equipment.
• Proficiency with MS Office; experience with Procore, Autodesk CC, CxAlloy preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement QA/QC plans, inspection procedures, and checklists.
• Conduct field inspections of structured/cabling, access control, CCTV, and networks.
• Verify compliance with drawings, specs, submittals, and manufacturer requirements.
• Identify deficiencies, issue punch lists, track corrective actions to closure.
• Ensure installations meet data center quality standards and commissioning requirements.
• Inspect cable routes, trays, conduits, racks, and equipment installations.
• Witness copper/fiber tests; review testing docs and turnover packages.
• Support commissioning, punch list closeout, and acceptance reviews.
• Maintain logs, defect trackers, and turnover documentation.
• Mentor field teams and drive continuous quality improvement.

Foreman Quality Control Manager (Data Center Low Voltage)

Rio Rancho, NM

Loyal Source is seeking an experienced Foreman Quality Control Manager to support a mission-critical data center project in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. This role is responsible for ensuring all low-voltage, structured cabling, telecommunications, and related infrastructure installations meet project specifications, customer requirements, industry standards, quality expectations, and commissioning requirements. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in data center environments and a strong background in quality assurance, inspections, testing, documentation, and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Assurance & Quality Control

• Develop and implement project-specific QA/QC plans, inspection procedures, and quality control checklists.
• Conduct field inspections of structured cabling, fiber optic infrastructure, copper cabling, access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, wireless, network, and controls systems.
• Verify compliance with approved drawings, specifications, submittals, customer standards, design documents, and manufacturer requirements.
• Identify deficiencies, issue punch lists and non-conformance reports, and track corrective actions through resolution.
• Ensure installations meet data center quality standards, customer expectations, and commissioning requirements.

Installation Oversight

• Inspect cable pathways, tray systems, conduits, racks, cabinets, devices, and equipment installations.
• Verify proper routing, bend radius, cable support, separation, labeling, grounding, bonding, and overall workmanship.
• Review installation methods and ensure field work remains aligned with project specifications and industry best practices.
• Coordinate with project teams to resolve field issues and prevent recurring deficiencies.

Testing & Commissioning Support

• Witness and validate copper certification testing, fiber insertion loss testing, OTDR testing, and system functionality tests.
• Ensure testing documentation is complete, accurate, and meets turnover requirements.
• Support commissioning activities, punch list closeout, infrastructure verification, and final acceptance reviews.
• Coordinate with commissioning agents, customer representatives, project managers, and system vendors.

Documentation & Project Closeout

• Maintain inspection logs, deficiency trackers, quality reports, and field observation records.
• Review redlines, as-built drawings, certification records, test reports, O&M documentation, and turnover packages.
• Ensure all project documentation is complete and organized prior to customer and owner review.
• Promote strong document control and communication throughout the project lifecycle.

Leadership & Continuous Improvement

• Participate in project meetings and provide QA/QC updates to project leadership.
• Mentor field teams and reinforce quality standards and expectations.
• Drive continuous improvement efforts to reduce rework and improve first-pass inspection success rates.
• Foster collaboration between quality personnel, field crews, subcontractors, and project stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

• 5-10 years of experience in low-voltage construction, structured cabling, telecommunications, or mission-critical infrastructure projects.
• 3-5 years of QA/QC leadership, inspection, or quality management experience preferred.
• Experience supporting hyperscale, enterprise, or mission-critical data center construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of:
  • Fiber optic cabling systems
  • Copper cabling systems
  • Structured cabling infrastructure
  • Access control systems
  • CCTV systems
  • Network and wireless infrastructure
  • Controls cabling and related low-voltage technologies
• Ability to review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, submittals, redlines, as-built documentation, test results, and turnover packages.
• Experience with testing and certification equipment for copper and fiber infrastructure.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Project.
• Experience using construction management platforms such as Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud, and CxAlloy preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to walk active construction sites for extended periods.
• Ability to climb ladders and work at elevated heights when required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in confined or restricted areas where low-voltage systems are installed.
• Ability to travel between project locations as needed.
• Flexibility to work non-standard schedules during project milestones, commissioning activities, and turnover periods.
