Job summary

NC Custom, a division of Nassau Candy, is seeking a Quality Control (QC) Floor Inspector at our Ronkonkoma, NY facility. The role offers a full-time schedule with a guaranteed 40-hour week and overtime opportunities.

Pay ranges from $18.00 to $20.00 per hour based on experience, with 7:00 am to 3:30 pm shift Monday–Friday. The job involves inspecting products, monitoring GMPs, sanitation, and food safety practices within a collaborative manufacturing team.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of SQF Systems, HACCP, and CCP Monitoring.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Self-motivated and disciplined with ability to work with little supervision.
• Ability to multi-task in a dynamic and busy work environment.

Responsibilities

• Visually monitor the facility for unsafe conditions or hazards and communicate findings.
• Perform inspections/audits of products to determine conformance with company and regulatory specifications.
• Conduct investigations by responses to emails and obtaining sample retentions.
• Ensure 100% compliance with all company GMPs.
• Assist with continually maintaining the highest levels of sanitation.
• Conduct ongoing floor training and communication to ALL personnel regarding Quality, Sanitation, and compliance protocols for Food Safety, Quality Control, Food Defense and GMPs.
• Communicate issues and follow up with appropriate parties to ensure issues are addressed and corrected.
• Promote and enforce a safe and sanitary work environment.
