Job summary

AIS Infrastructure Group seeks a Quality Control Field Engineer to aid in organization and function on a heavy civil construction project. You will review project documents related to QA/QC, coordinate tests and inspections, and maintain internal data management systems to ensure high-quality deliverables and customer satisfaction.

You will work with a Quality Control Manager and project teams to implement QA/QC protocols, manage submittals, RFIs, and site inspections, while emphasizing safety

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience in construction quality control, preferably with heavy civil projects.
• Familiarity with soil and/or concrete testing.
• Knowledge of relevant industry codes, standards, and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Quality Control Manager across all aspects of projects.
• Review and/or produce design and construction documents.
• Implement QA/QC protocol during construction via submittals, RFIs, inspections, and testing in the field.
• Enforce compliance with quality standards.
• Oversee subcontractors and apply field supervision skills.
• Maintain documentation and reports.
• Coordinate with PMs, contractors, and clients to resolve quality issues.
• Continuous improvement of quality management systems.
• Apply expertise during pre-bid, construction, and post-construction phases of projects.
• Provide guidance and support to project teams regarding quality control practices and requirements.
• Maintain a heavy focus on safety and ensure safety protocol is adhered to.
