Job summary

Therma in San Jose, CA is seeking a Quality Control Examiner to lead the ongoing development and integrity of the quality management system, including the Therma Quality Policy, QC SOPs, and the ASME QC Manual functions. This role collaborates with management to foster a culture of highest quality workmanship and meticulous record keeping.

The QCE will oversee QC of piping, pressure vessel, sheet metal and structural fabrications across the site, respond to non-conformances, and ensure code

Qualifications

• American Welding Society- Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification.
• Must be an effective communicator (oral and written) with presentation skills.
• Minimum 5 years construction experience.
• Minimum 2 years in welding quality or welding responsibilities.
• Current valid CA driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Implement and assist in continuous improvement of QC procedures and programs.
• Foster a workplace culture committed to highest quality and complaint-free performance.
• Perform welder training and witness certification testing for shop and field welding personnel.
• Investigate external and internal customer complaints and other non-conformances; determine root causes and preventive measures.
• Inspect production welding and assemblies to ensure Code regulation compliance.
